"Caitlin
Sullivan
thinks
you
should
look
fashionable
and
unique
on a
daily
basis,
and has
focused
her
efforts
on
ready-to-wear.
This
collection,
an
augmented
version
of her
2009
senior
thesis, We
Are But,
Young In
Deed,
is a
celebration
of
youth--
not
anchored
in any
specific
era.
Every
generation
has
defining
fashions,
but
shares a
sense of
freedom,
exuberance
and
irreverence.
Caitlin
looks to
current
street
fashion
and
personal
style
icons
like
Shelly
Duval
and
Anita
Pallenberg
to
inform
her
designs.
The
clothes
work as
ensembles
and as
separates,
meant to
blend
into
existing
wardrobes.
She
creates
compelling
silhouettes
by
playing
with
proportion
and
volume
and
juxtaposing
hardy
fabrics
with
delicate
or fancy
ones.
Unrestrained
by
typical
garment
gender
details,
she uses
masculine
elements
in an
inherently
girly
manner.
Caitlin
completed
the
fashion
program
at
Massachusetts
College
of Art
this
past
spring.
She
looks
forward
to being
involved
in the
fashion
industry."
