Boston
native
Kyleah
Toraye
Williams
is the
face
behind
then
brand
Kyleah
Toraye.
She has
been
sketching
since
she was
a little
girl and
it was
no
coincident
that she
decided
to study
fashion
design
as she
became
of age
to
attend
school.
Her true
passion
for
fashion
came
about as
she
traveled
with her
family
at a
young
age
taking
notice
to
different
trends
from
various
locations.
She
comes
from a
family
full of
creative
individuals
a
celebrity
hairstylist
as her
aunt and
a father
who has
marked
his
territory
in
Boston’s
urban
fashion
world.
She got
her
insight
on the
industry
in her
teenage
years
while
helping
her
father
run his
store
and
started
off
picking
out
color
schemes
for his
collections.
She got
a
glimpse
of what
it took
to be a
visual
merchandiser
as her
father
allowed
her to
design
the
floor
layout
at his
store
and it
wasn’t
long
before
her
creative
eye for
designing
was able
to be
brought
in
perspective.
Kyleah
can be
inspired
from
everything
around
her
allowing
her to
create
her
signature
look.
She once
walked
by a
garden
on a
spring
day and
had a
full
collection
of sheer
fabrics,
flowered
prints
and
pastel
colors.
Her
customers
say her
clothing
reminds
them of
Betsey
Johnson
and her
approach
is punk
rock but
with a
sexy
twist.
After
high
school
she
furthered
her
education
at The
Art
Institute
of New
York
majoring
in
fashion
design.
Since
her
graduation
she had
her 1st
fashion
show in
benefit
to stop
violence
on the
streets
of
Boston.
Kyleah
entered
numerous
local
fashion
shows
and has
been a
stylist
for
photo
shoots.
She
volunteered
her
talent
at BET
networks
as an
assistant
stylist
for one
of the
networks
shows
106&park.
She is
interested
in
everything
fashion
has to
offer
she was
a model
choreographer
for a
show her
college
arranged.
She
believes
she is
still
fresh
and new,
and
wants to
learn
more
about
fashion.
People
that
know her
say
she’s
here to
stay. As
her love
affair
with
fashion
continues
she
still
will
arrange
shows
while
trying
to make
her
place in
the
industry.
Kyleah
plans to
let the
world
know who
she is
and what
her
clothing
stands
for by
opening
her own
business.
Following
her
label
will be
a book
and also
she
plans to
open a
school
to teach
young
females
and
males
who are
less
fortunate
or would
just
love to
learn
about
fashion.
