Couture
Ever since
a young boy,
fashion was Prajje Jean-Baptiste’s
passion.
Born in Port
au Prince,
Haiti,
Prajje came
to the USA
in his
teens.
While a
student at
North
Cambridge
Catholic
High, Prajje
took every
opportunity
to learn
about design
and fashion,
attending
Saturday
Studios and
Extreme
Weeks
fashion
sessions at
Mass College
of Art. In
2002, he was
awarded a
Summer
Search
scholarship
for the Pre
College
Program in
fashion at
the Rhode
Island
School of
Design.
Since then Prajje has
been
studying
fashion at
Mass College
of Arts
where he is
now a
graduate.
Over the
last five
years,
Prajje has
presented
his work and
participated
in numerous
fashion
shows,
including
the annual
Boston
University
Impact show,
the Multai
Entertainment
and the
Beauty and
the Beast
shows in
2006. That
same year
Prajje was
the winner
of the Off
the Runway
Designer
competition.
He was also
the 2007
recipient of
a Redcats
prize in the
Junior
Scholarship
competitions
of
Chadwick’s
Women’s
Sportswear.
He also
dress
celebrity
like Bianca
Golden
Americas
next top
model
contestant,
also TV
anchor for
channel 5
Sara
Underwood,
for the ball
the
Versailles.
Prajje
is
considered
one of
Boston best
kept fashion
secrets.
His designs,
elegant,
colorful and
sexy, are
unique,
different,
and yet
eminently
wearable. He
understands
how the body
works and
what will
look good on
a woman or a
man, what
will set
them apart
yet fit
their
lifestyle.
His works
have been
featured on
numerous
newspapers
like the
Boston Globe,

magazines.
